Preident Obama is a Soothsayer

President Obama is a soothsayer. He speaks in a pretty voice, using pretty words, and false promises and predictions to draw the masses to him. Very scary. He gave a great speech at his inagaration (coronation) yesterday, I wish I could believe it, I want to believe it, but our new president is a soothsayer. sooth·say·er     (sooth'sa'?r)  Pronunciation Key
n.   One who claims to be able to foretell events or predict the future; a seer.

Word History: The truth is not always soothing, but our verb soothe is related to soothsayer, the word for one who tells the truth, especially beforehand. The archaic adjective and noun sooth, "true, truth," comes from the Old English adjective and noun soth with the same meanings. The Old English form derives from Germanic *santh-az, "true," which comes from Indo-European *sont-, one of the participles from the Indo-European root -es-, "to be": the truth is that which is. Old English also formed a verb from soth, namely sothian, "to confirm to be true." This is the ancestor of soothe; its meaning changed from "to assent to be true, say 'yes' to" to "humor by assenting, placate." Doing the latter on occasion requires something less than the truth.

We cannot trust anything that he says this man says one thing and then something else he has constantly contradics himself how do you belive someone like that. He is predicticing all these supposed wonderful things that will happen to our country. Wonderful for who? Certainly not me and other like me. Solcialized Medicine, no thankyou, higher taxes no I need every penny I have. A Civilian Sercurity Force, I can think of a few reasons for that and none of them good, something like that does not belong in a free civilization. Unless of course you are wanting to bring that civilization under your thumb. I have a very dear friend who talks about all the things that president Obama has done and I look ask her what and she is referring to the people he has appointed, What else because as far as I can tell he has not done anything at all. Nothing. And now he is our President for good or bad. We need to pray that he will have the best interests of this counrty at heart, do what is best for the people of the United States and not what his donors want, not serve his own agenda. I am planning on challenging all policies that I feel are very wrong and not in the best interests of this country. I hope I am not alone.

A wonderful Childhood Memory

I was reading Bob Lonsberry today I love his daily columns and his daily surveys. Usually he talks about politics but today wrote about sledding with his daughter. She will have great memories from that day. It made me think of one of the fondest memories that I have from childhood, family prayer. When we were young our Father would tell us stories of his childhood before family prayer every night. My dad was a little trouble maker, we would just laugh an laugh. The stories of the cow patty fights and the dog named Daisy. I look back at those moments and smile, because in those moments Dad was ours. He belonged just to us. He gave us a part of himself those nights. My Mother had a hard time getting us to settle down for prayer because we all had the giggles. Think about 5 little girls with the giggles. Those are the kind of Moments that you cherish.

An Introduction

I decided to create this blog to have a place to talk about what I think about what is going on in this world. I have strong opinions and I am not always right but I am open to being corrected. I greatly value the opinions of others and I am open to suggestions on about anything.
I am new to the world of politics, never really cared about it one way or another. I lived with the false belief that it does not effect me. I now know differently, and let me tell you ignorance is bliss. Life was less stressful when I didn't know. I never realized how crazy and messed up the world can be. But I also know how wonderfully amazing the world is and how great this country is.
I do want to visit other countries but my heart and my loyalty is here in the good ole United States of America. I do not want to live any where else.
I am grateful to our beloved soldiers who have chosen to sacrifice so much for our country including giving up their lives and to their families for the sacrifices that they to have made by sharing the ones they love with the rest of us. No words can express my gratitude. I say a very heartfelt thank you to all of you.
I do have a tendancy to ramble on about this or that, I have never been good at expressing my self very well and I hope this blog will let me get my thoughts out and perhaps make some sense in time. I figure this is also a good place to practice my writing skills, it has been a while. I cannot garuntee how frequently I will post but I will give it my best shot. I look forward to talking to those who read my blog and their ideas and opinions.
